The Independent Curriculum

The Independent Curriculum is a new curriculum designed for use in independent prep and junior schools. It offers a programme of learning from Year 3 to Year 9 which is cohesive, incremental and focused on both preparation for senior school and preparation for life.

The IC introduces knowledge strands alongside cross-curricular learning skills to ensure your pupils have the canon of knowledge required from a rigorous, academic education. However, the IC goes a step further to develop qualities for life. These are the qualities which senior schools and employers look for in the employees of the future; qualities such as independent thinking, creativity and self-motivation.
